Orlandi Contucci Ponno is a winery with centuries of history. Established in 1760, it was purchased by the Gussalli Beretta family in 2007. Montepulciano d'Abruzzo has strength and depth, while the estate's Trebbiano and Pecorino grapes produce fragrant, floral, fresh and mineral wines.
Production zone COLLINE TERAMANE
Abruzzo's vineyards cover approximately 32,000 hectares. 118 varieties are grown in this region, of which Montepulciano represents 52%.
The winery enjoys a privileged climate thanks to the warmth from the sea and the breeze that blows down from the mountains: together, they contribute to the steady and harmonious growth of the grapes, giving the wines a broad bouquet of Mediterranean aromas.
They are located at the foot of the hills surrounding the River Vomano, about 2 km from the Adriatic Sea and less than 20 km from the Gran Sasso mountain chain, which reaches an altitude of about 3,000 metres.
